Out of Hours Childcare

Pathways offer out of hours childcare for parents or carers who need a bit more flexibility. 3 to 11 years during term time and 3 to 9 years during the holiday club.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club begins each weekday morning at 8am.  Children arriving before 8.15am will be provided with breakfast which may include either cereals, toast or fruit.  The children will have the opportunity to play before they are either taken over to Great Barton Primary School, or they begin their morning session at Pathways.

The children who attend Great Barton Primary School will be escorted from Pathways to the school by a member of staff at 8.50am.

After-School Club

Children attending after-school from Great Barton Primary School will be collected from school at 15.15 by a member of staff.  They will be offered a light snack which may include some fruit and a drink.  Children staying after 16.30 will be offered a more substantial tea, for example, beans on toast or jacket potato.

The children will have access to a full range of activities including themed crafts, design and construction.  The varied activities are aimed at different age groups for all to feel included.  Electronic toys, i.e: Playstation or DVDs will be available for limited times.
Children will have the time to relax and unwind.

The after school sessions are 15.15 to 16.30 or 17.30.

Holiday Club

The holiday club runs during the school holidays.  The club provides parents or carers with the opportunity to choose which days they would like and the timings they would like.  Children already using the setting will also be informed so they can book accordingly.

Our holiday clubs are packed with lots of craft activities, cooking and time for free play where children can unwind and enjoy time with friends in a relaxed atmosphere.

Bookings being taken now for the Summer holiday club which runs from 23 July 2025 to 29th August  November 2024. Please email gbpathways@gbpathways.org.uk if you would like to make a booking, please book before the closing date of 9th July 2025. Please note Pathways will be closed on 18th and 25th August 2025.
